Here are some more updates to my tank. Started to drip Kalkwasser using my DIY Dripper and turning on my PL light which I had for my 4ft tank. Will change to a MH once cycling period is over. Please do feel free to comment and advise.

Cheers :)

good morning to you!..

well the sand turning brown has a few reasons behind it..

it can be diatom?..did u use tap water for topping up waterf for your tank?..

the best now is to run a FR with phospate removal as your phospate level might be high..do test it out and post the results ;)

Hi All,

Just took the reading for my tank and here is the result. Please comment.

PH = 8

CA = 480

NO3 = 25

NO2 = 0.1

NH4 = 0.25

Are this reading ok. This is the 2nd week of cycling.

No2 - bring it to [ 0 ]

No3 - bring it down to [ 0 ]

NH3/NH4 - bring it down to [ 0 ]

KH - bring up to [ 9 ]

Thanks Jem.

Can tell me how do bring down CA to 450ppm and KH to 9. I guess the rest will drop as the cycling goes deeper into 3rd and 4th week right?

Thanks

water change may result in decreasing abit of ca....do weekly water change at 10% shld be fine..

:D
