possible sale of BLV 250W DE 14kk Bulb

i may want to sell my 3weeks old new BLV 250W DE 14kk bulb. used 3weeks. burned 6 hours a day.

Why are you selling the bulb? Any special reasons?

i don't know how to say it... when the bulb is burning, it looks white (whiter than my old 10kk). but when it reaches at the bottom of the tank, it looks yellowish-green. it may be the e-ballast i used. to be honest, it looks too greenish at the bottom... i am still considering.

Farish, i have the same impression too. And i am also wondering whether it is due to my e-ballast too (talking about DE here, not sure about SE)? But then again, 14k Phoenix bulb on my tank do look more blue when compare to others without e-ballast... So i am lost too and currently i have remove one 14k and replace with 10k BLV and overall it looks less yellowish/greenish as compare to the 14k...

Strange. IanJ has posted a thread about his 14kk MH but I cant recall if his is magnetic or e-ballast.

I assume that the water quality for the both of you are top-notch with no yellowing etc etc rite?

Mine should be reasonably good with minor diatom on acrylic wall only (no other algae).. So definitely not water related. But i have to say that this bulb is really bright though..

the light is super bright... even when i started it for about 4 hours for a 1st week, some of my lps on the bottom "lost" colour too bright

i don't have yellow water. very clear.

I'll try to see if Sanjay has any idea on this new bulb. I dunt think he has received any for his testing purposes.

it's ok... still considering... i like it brightness and white on the top but not the bottom may be got to update the review on this bulb
