how do i maintain and keep this coral healthy??

Recommended Posts

Oh dear it looks unhealthy to start off with. First thing you could do is shield it from bright light. Place it on your sandbed if need be. Secondly give it gentle-moderate current to encourage the polyps to emerge. Thirdly when the polyps emerge try feeding it with blended shrimp. Hope it recovers.

Always something more important than fish.

Bro, I used to have that for 6 mnth before swop with

fellow reefer. It cup coral and suppose to be LPS.

The polyps should be extended and not sunken, when

it healthy. ;)

It only need moderate lighting and flow. To direct, the polyps

will retract.

Ps : Thank for your skimmer it functioning well. :off:

Bro, how is water perimeter?

I better not offer to help now as my old tank will be decommission

this weekend and the NSW check last night is not stable. Still have trace

of No2 and No3.

Yet to check ammonia, maybe other bro can help. :(

But just ensure that water perimeter stabilise and try

to feed it and dont stress it, I m sure it will be back to normal.

well..my tank is currently housing bro Dorado's cup coral =)

you should see its polyps out when lights turn on..

like what the other bro says..water parameter do play an important part to nurse the coral back to health..

also try to keep a look out for any fishes/inverts disturbing it..

moderate current and abit of light should "destress" it..and encourage its polyps to extend =)
