Hi..as my tank is in my air con room..my water temp normally go down to 25-26 at nite and my fishes get white spots very regularly due to constant temperature fluctuation.

thinking of puttnig a heater in my tank at nite to prevent it from becoming too cold...will this work??

Put a heater in the marine tank seen funny ....But in some countries which having the "Winter " , They have to put in the heater to maintain the temp..... :):):)

IMO, U should add in the heater at night to maintain the temp..

Aplogise to hijack the thread a bit .... but it's related.

I've been reading around and also not too sure whether should I get a thermostat to maintain a stable temperature for my aquarium ..... knowing about Singapore's temperature .... may I ask how do you guys 'maintain' a stable temperature for your tank? (Other than using a chiller)

Thank you.

This is interesting.... reefers usually complain about temperature being too high and not too low... :D

I agree with Clownfish, temperature don't fluctuate much in Singapore.... if your tank is in an air-con room, I think it's ok...

The white spots... could it be from something else rather than temperature?
