1) k ... by right, in the sump it is recommended to put skimmer

in the 1st compartment. it is say to say that its even better if

part of the downflow water from the tank can be tee off to the

skimmer. reason been that this water contains the most

"waste-protein-material" ...

2) carbon shld be in the last compartment of the sump.

3) its is highly recommended to add a FR if u havnt have 1 yet

It is normal for the sandbed to be covered with algae at the initial stages... As long as you keep your PO4 low... They will slowly disappear... My tank also like that...
