WTS Seagrass Filefish

Hi,

Recently got a Seagrass Filefish - Acreichthys tomentosus from

ML and it had resolved my aiptasia issue. However, I am finding it

difficult to target feed it as my tank is a 4 footer with lotsa place for it

to hide.

I am not sure whether it is having enough to eat or not. Hence,

not to let such a nice fish starve to death, I'll decided to let it.

If u have aiptasia and wish for a solution, this is the fish.

So far, it did not disturb my zoos and mushie after finishing the aiptasia.

Mine is slightly more than 2inch and i'm letting it go at $5.

pardon for my senseless question:

Why does a fish need to be target feeded?

sorry but i dun understand why the fish won't come out for pellets or any other food?

this is not a flame or something but just a curious question.

actually if you have fishes that are agressive feeder, it is common to have shy fish like seagress filefish.. not coming out the compete...thus the need to target feed.....

for me, i have problem with my marine betta....end up i feed it late during the night or very early in the morning when all the other fishes are sleeping....

none taken ... considering the current status of the forum .. every1 had to

becareful when they said something, else kena slam

1) possible reason i can think of is my group of hungry eaters

(5 chromis and 5anthias) are actually keeping him away when i feed.

they are too fast eaters and left not much (bite size food) behind for it.

2) it dun stay in 1 place to be fed. I drop pellet, it swim away or

did not see ... drop drop drop until whole sandbed full of pellets

maybe it is able to fed off stuffs on my LR, but i'm not comfortable as I did

not see it actually eating, unlike my kaimen rider (lawnmower blenny) where

u can observe it kissing the LR

it feeds on aiptasia??!! i always trhow that fish away when i catch them when i go fishing

there's many types of file fish and not all are reef-safe ... so dun

anyhow put in until u'r sure u get the correct lah
