Divorce rate is increasing~~ nothing great now?

More and more divorce cases seems to be increasing in singapore,

a rather cultural or traditional thinking country...

Wat is the main cause of it?

Money problem , stress of life , third party ...etc.....

Is marriage just view as an agreement make on a piece of paper?

sign and be done with it ............

Young ppl think marriage is just a piece of paper

and to apply HDB flat.

Once a frash grad from NUS joined my team.

He was very urgent in finding GF.

So I asked him why,

Ans : "Need to apply HDB mah, otherwise need to wait"

So I asked, if u 2 can't get along how

Ans : "Sell flat lar, if we already get it, else deposit gone"

Than I told him

Yep , some if well plan , divorce can actually become

a making money plan......esp from the sales of property

For me, 70% of my peers (long time friends) not married, of those 30% married 20% divorced !

Marriage is not for a HDB nor pride.

It's to settle down as a partner and/or family.

The problem I see is,

both parties don't give way. that's all.

Every1 know, when u r dating , every1 lie and hide.

Once married, than start showing off all the bad things.

So b4 married, have to think twice.

Society is changing.

Now a day marriage is nothing, just a peice of paper.

###### is nothing.

Since ###### is nothing, marriage is nothing. ( For most of ppl in society )

However, once they reach to one point.

No1 going to get marriage anymore.

And who ever get marry mean

They will be serious enough to know what is what.

So we need time

Well, there r so many divorces cases ard me too. I feel sad cos' i attend their wedding,it was so grand & now they r separting....

Many reasons contributed 2 it. $, 3rd party,no longer luv each other, r all these excuses?

The recent one I know is...

The wife said that she doesn't wan to stay w her inlaws.

Shouldn't this been ironed out before the nuptials are processed and tied?

some can get along well with inlaw, some can't

the best is to settle your own.

one generation different can mean a lot.

especially those who are so proude of themself ( any one in marriage cycle )

maybe spend more time looking at the tank more than looking at the wife?

Even if you can forgive/forget, wat about your own mother? she gives you life, you are her "flesh n blood", can she take it?

Lets say nobody can, you made hell lots of noise, can your wife take it? your wife is also your mother-in-law "flesh n blood"

1 or 2 yr down the road, X and Y not happy. (Before Customary) Sign divorce paper. House sell and both got equal share of money.

Another 1 to 2yr pass, my friend receive another invitation from X to the Registrar. He didn't go to the Registrar. X then send a "Red bomb" to invite my friend for their wedding dinner. My friend turn up and was hoping to see whom is X's new bride.

He got a shock!!!!! X marry Y again???????

same thing happen to my friend. the girl ditch him for another guy... then when things dont work out, she come back to my freind. and my STUPID friend marry her.....
