Ok i had a problem like this before...

1st month bill came in $150++ (not my house, my shop)

2nd month ZERO (actually negative)

3rd month $14

My brother told me it's coz PUB lazy buggers don't always take actual meter readings, sometimes they estimate based on previous usage.

So if they overcharge you for one month they will deduct the "extras" in the next month...

Anyone can confim this?

Dun be alarm, but be resolute. Go to your meter and check how fast is the meter running. Then you can do a average consumption base on the rate of change. Faulty equipment sometime consume more power, like fridge, chiller, aircon - power sucker - faulty temp controller.

It may not be the tank that causes the hike in electricity. Forgeting to off power of electrical appliance may be the cause like aircon. But quite unlikely that it more than doubled.

Do homework before going to Sing Power...

I have brought up the issue with PUB and it seems that for the past few months, they have been 'undercharging' my household. Therefore, they are 'making up' for the past few months by slamming us a whammy of a bill! Is that a valid reason?

I really think this is a crappy system to adopt (who ever said SG was efficient?). <_<

How can we be sure that they are not merely overcharging us whenever they feel like it? :angry:

Aiya, it is a monopoly so you just pay loh. Otherwise not electricity to your house.

What can you do? Boycott them? Sue Them? Report Police? Go see MP?

This is our country, our system, our semi-democratic society.

I really wish you can find a way to slap their face.... :evil:
