Dear Frenz,

Just started dosing kalkwasser yesterday....just like to find out how often do we dose it?

I am using a DIY drip bottle at the moment, it takes about 1 and a half hour to 2 hours to finish dripping.

i dose it every 4 days to 5 days or so..

but my one bottle abt 2 litres will last quite long..my drip rate is almost or slightly slower then 1 drop per second. i also using Diy drip bottle.

but i think it would depend on the intake calcium rate of your corals inside your tank etc to see how often u want to dose it... :)

I guess to check how often you drip it, is to measure. You will never know how much water you add to a cup unless you can see it. So test your tank water with calcium test kits, before you drip. After dripping, measure it again to see how much has the calcium level risen. If its too little, it implies that you havent really added enough. However, do also check your pH levels, as excessive addition may cause your pH levels to rise abnormally. Sometimes, when you you do not have the desired alkalinity levels, calcium doesnt increase as it should be. Magnesium levels do play a part in the calcium level too.
