What kind of lights sufficient for 1.5ft (height)

hi all, am going thinking of setting up a shallow tank, to keep clams, mushies, and the softies...

what kind of lighting would you recommend? i feel that mh might be an overkill, and heat up the water too quickly because of the shallow height.

anyone can give good advice, and recommendations?

if u have clam u better go for MH, but of coz u can have several tubes of T5.

get ur lights based on the LS that required the most light, in ur case, the clam.

it wont be overkill la... get the MH, hanging type, where u can adjust the height to adjust the intensity lor... me using 150W on my 3 X 1.5 X 1.5 tank too....

if u scared of melting mushies, try placing them under semi-shade lor

Clams and softies do not mix, their lighting preferences are totally diferent

I use 250 w 10 k for my 2 feet cube tank

i keeping some mushrooms too , no melting cases

instead a lot of babies mushrooms poping out

made a mistake in the header, i only intend to have a 0.5ft height... so its alot lesser than the usual tank height...

if that is the case, can still use mh? or i'm thinking T5s will do the job sufficiently.. say, something like 8-10 T5s
