Hi guys,

My job requires me to use the computer a lot... not only mouse and keyboad, also got pen tablet... as a result of years or months of this, my right wrist (the outer portion) has started to hurt more and more...

After the pain started to travel up into my hand and down my forearm I decided to go see tie da yi shen... he helped me pop something back.. other than that there is still still has this dull pain...

Anyone else suffers from such ailments and have found remedies?

Posture is very important

try to stand and your eyes is at the center of monitor

ur hands r not resting on the keyboard.

about 1 hand length away from monitor.

Rest your back ( lower back ) to the chair.

I used to sit stirght in front of computer for not less than 16hrs a day for 4 years. Learned from there

Hi,

Just my 2 cents.

For PC users.

1. place your monitor and keyboard on the broad end of the table or at the intersection of L shape table.

2. Adjust your typing height by adjusting your chair height. your forearm should be resting on the table. make sure you are not lifting your shoulder nor opening your arm too wide. Make sure you are sitting all the way back from your shoulder blade down to your lower back. If your arm rest is the 90 degrees type, then try to change to one that allows you to adjust it height. Cos 90 degrees one tends to prevent you from sitting closer to the table, thus you tends to lean foward, thus neck and back pain.

3. Once you have adjusted your typing height, you can then adjust your monitor height. The first line that appears on the screen should be at eye level.

4. your mouse shld be beside the keyboard.

5. Make sure you don't press your wrist on the mouse pad or table top cos it will put pressure on your tendons and nerve, thus pain on the distal forearm.

If using laptop.

Sure die on lah!!!! :(

1. Make sure you use a external keyboard and mouse so that you can adjsut the height of the screen to eye level. can place books or files or what so ever or can purchase a notebook riser to put the laptop on top of it.

Good luck.

thanks bro.. i managed to adjust everything to what you have suggested.. hopefully this will work..

I suspect there might be another reason.. u see I run 2 monitors (I do a lot of graphic work) but the main monitor is at an angle... to the keyboard which is another reason I suspect has contributed more to the problem...

Anyone knows where to get good computer tables?
