Dear bros,

I know a few of you guys use this particular skimmer/filter. I'm considering changing my system to livesand liverock and just biostar flotor and decomission my liberty200. btw my tank is about 15 inch by 10inch by 10 inch. ocellaris pair and cleaner shrimp pair with a yuma and a leather toadstool.

Would just like to hear opinions on whether it will be able to support fully and whether the biowheel will become a nitrate factory

If not using live sand then i think i will go semi berlin and just have a barely there sandbed for aesthetic purpose.

Future plans will be just to add a few more hardier corals...stopping at my clown and shrimp pair.

Also, i do intend to do water changes but at the same time trying to be more biological and less technological.

Biostar Flotor <---click to see what it is.

The bio star is a dry & wet wheel having two different types of bacteria. It will not become a nitrate factory.

I am currently using a phosfilter and a cannister filter, the filters has been serving me well. I don't use a calcium reactor as I am using about 2 1/2 inches of argonite sand...which gives me great release of calcium.

The bio star is a great equiment provided that you use with a good pump as well.

no bros have other opinions?

I have ran Biostar Flotor with Eheim 2213 of 2ft without sump. ;)

Am pleased with it. Personally I feel Biostar Flotor is a good investment for a Nano especially if you dun have a sump. ;)
