red or green marine algae for tangs??

hi all... just bought a powder blue tang .. feed it with red marine algae and those normal dried seaweed.. but the tang seem to eat then spilt it out... is it that i have to get those ocean nutrition green algae which is meant for tangs??

they will eventually eat watever you feed them with, its only a matter of time to let them learn it is food.

Meanwhile, you can supplement thier diet with red bamboo algae. PBT can literally starve themselves to death with unfamiliar food

Pellets work wonders

provided you train them to start eating pellets

It's okay that the PBT is spitting out the seaweed. The important part is that it is interested in the food and is sampling it. Your PBT will soon get used to the seaweed taste and eat it without spitting out. Just give it some time.
