Hey, just got them this morning from the beach.

Just to share the photo with U guys & gals.

Anybody know what is the name of the grass in the picture ???

yo maxstar my frd... u must be waking up super early these few days hahaha... i hvn tgot a chance to go yet... maybe tomr will go as low tide ard 6.20 am more manageable hahhaa.. hey plse pm me where u found the turtleweed.... i only manage to find caulerpa most of the time.... looking to replenish my plants for tangs to feed

i dont think turtle weed is a gd choice for feeding your tangs. i read somewhere that they produce a toxic substance to deter herbivores from eating it.

One Question though, how to know if plant is still alive???

Cos the loose strands stuck to filter are still green after a week.

So i don't know if my plants are dead a not leh.

No tiny air bubbles from them ....

If the turtle weed turns white then most likely its dead. Very hard to keep in the long run as you need to know their specific nutrient requirements. Just like freshwater aquatic plants, different plants have different nutrient requirements.

As for the fish, those are commonly called glass perch and are brackish species.
