that looks like one of those temp probe used in the kitchen ... think my mom or gf should have one ... but not too sure if the probe will last ;)

also would need a temperature controller to measure the actual tank temp such that it can override the sensor on the chiller ... ;)

any idea, bro

daryll,

i had the probe inside my tank 24/7 for the past yr.. never rust at all.. so, no worries.. and yes, it is the same probe that ppl use in kitchen... not too bad, up to 1 decimal pt.. and that probe will measure the temp of your tank accurately... :)

Daryll,

For those Temperature probes that you are looking for, the ones that can be used to trigger the on and off function of chiller should be available at Sim Lim... I think in AC or DC ....

About the know-hows to integrate it to the chiller, you should approach the technical guys here.....

A reply from a fellow forumer regarding the temp control....

" A dc relay Controller with +/- 1 degree resolution with transformer, temp probe, etc cost $55! the wiring is really easy if you had experience with electric circuits. Go check it out!

I am currently using a direct AC temp controller. A similar model with

+/-0.1 degree resolution will cost about $120++. Wiring is even simpler!"

THere's a refrigeration shop along Jln Besar that sells digital controller for around $60. The controller is powered by 230V AC with an integral AC relay for connectionto the compressor.

If ur coming from Lavender its on the right side of Jln Besar before you reach Kitchener Road.
