Clownfish Got Stucked!!

my african clown died while trying to pull off a nemo stunt..hai..it was sucked into tube of my canister filter...is there anything i can do to prevent a repeat of this tragedy to my other small fishes??

Hey i thought the end of the tube is attach by a plastic net like thingy to prevent fish from entering

yeah not sure but shoudl have... For better chances at getting canister spare part, try petma** at serangoon north ave1

hmm..come to think abt it..i think i can just get a small piece of net myself and rubber band it over the tube...

at the mean time i feel its better to pluck it into ur undergravel ( if u have 1) or make the tube very near to a surface so fished cant get in

i think LFS sell the plastic end cage ba....if no have i have 1 extra

.............wow..after ur clownfish gets sucked up then you think about covering the tube..... lolx

Hmmm..you can use normal aquarium netting and use rubber band to tie it. It has worked for me...just make sure your netting does'nt get choked. Or you could find a ceramic ring or something and let the suction work on it. Then ur fish wun have space to get stuck.

its better to buy the original strainer. Your netting might need cleaning from time to time or else it get choked and your waterflow will get obstructed and next thing u know, water get siphon back to canister from outlet and canister go berserk.
