Needle Wheel Skimmer

First Post.

I would like to take this opportunity to share with fellow reefer.

A new neddle wheel skimmer will be coming in to Singapore soon.

This skimmer is developed with reputable needle wheel pumps from US.

The body itself will be manufactured in Asia region to reduce cost for our fellow reefers.

This photo is not the final products.

It is a test done on salt water sump where there are no fish inside.

Lots of Research and Design has been done to fullfill the correct size for each needle wheel pumps.

Just would like to share the photo of this test design.

Running on Sedra 5000 at 50 watts only.

Another test done Yesterday with 2 new pumps.

8 inch Body X 30 inch Height.

Powered by 2 new Beta pumps 500G/hour at 50 watts each.

Please ignore those ugly PVC pipes as this is just in R&D stage

They will not manufactured those small scale one such as for hang on.

I think the neddle pump available is

500G/hour

700G/hour

900G/hour

All skimmers will be customised according to the reefer choice.

Insump, outsump, sizes and number of pumps.

yes Xreef... been looking ard for a gd value for money skimmer to replace my red sea classic berlin. Poor man thats why hv to look hard n long. Plse pm me the px for the model that'l handle a 5X2X2 ft tank. Thks

I believe most skimmer designs are around the same.

BK, ASM, Euroreef, all look similar to me.

Beckett skimmers too.

Yes all skimmer design look the same.

The main driving force for this skimmer is the Neddle Wheel Pumps.

Using the right pumps are very important in designing skimmers.

Same goes to beckett.

All beckett skimmers are working the same way.

We have experiment with SG$12 neddle pin from China on Atman pumps.

After a while Pins start to break off

Thus performance reduce.

After a year, the Pump give way

Sometimes it is better to pay a slight premium on these pumps so to know that they will last.

I see a BK concept with ASM concept .. despite BK and ASM.deltec are needle wheel .. but there are diff in them.. Xreef combine both into one..

More details will be coming soon.

Proper Samples are under construction for proper review.

We guarantee our price will be around 30% cheaper than getting those overseas products and we are using reputable needle wheel pumps.

This news/photos are just sneaks preview.

Hmm...but the thought of spending so much on that pump feels a little wierd
