I thought xenia are pretty easy to keep? Yes, apparently, need to dose iodine for this coral.

Keep alkalinity high (12dkh) and temperatures as low as you can around the 27 deg celsius mark. Don't overdose iodide but do keep the levels up.

P.S do you have any relation to Harlequin aquarium?

My Xenias keeps losing strands. Like a head going bald. My temp is 25-27C and dKH abt 10 - 11. The LFS told me need irons. Anyone else has the same problem?

You also need good current to keep it waving well.

Nope...no relation to Harlequin aquarium..

just some guy who has a fat 6 inch Harlequin Taskfish who's been doing very well for the past 2years in my 180g reef tank.

Jus got my hand on some pulsing Xenias...

They were pulsing when I bought them...

Now...how do I keep them pulsing?????

So was a good experience yesterday.....

My xenia pulses 24/7 heh .. as long as they're given low to no current.

Not sure about my iodide level..didnt have a testkit

Do they take some time to aclimitize to a new environment before pulsing???

Mine slowed down their pulsing dramatically after being placed in my reef.... <_<

for mine, Yep

the pulsing is really weak on the 1st day in my tank.

then it gets better and now it decided to do equal count of pulse per day..haha
