Anemone For Fighting Maroon Clownfish

Hi,

I have 2 X Maroon Clown for nearly 3 months now. They have been fighting since day one. I put one of them in the container and they fight non-stop (although no damage done) but seems like they never got sick of it. Recently, someone told me that I can get 1 anemone and they will pair it together. I would like to know how many people has done it before and what is the success rate like ? Also, what type of anemone to get ? Common name of the anemone or picture will be helpful.

That information is a myth. Anemones and clownfishes do not NEED each other but will co-exist as a symbiotic relationship in the wild for mutual benefits. Both won't die or fare any poorer in a reef tank where they don't have natural enemies.

Clownfishes do not share anemones unless they are first a mated pair or have at least established a pecking order and the anemone is big enough.

Probably your clownfishes are both of the same ###### and will not pair up at all. Are they of the same size?

u may like to look at a different size..

I got two similiar size but of golden maroon + white maroon,

both WWF.... stats is both one win one lose.

Anemone does not come into the picture. as mention

by AT, in simple laymen term, each use each other for

their own usage. As can be seen in my tank, the maroon

will always feed the anemone, while the anemone provide

a good home n protection from other fishes.

I really hate to give them away..

It is worth it to give the anemone method a try ?

I think u bought them seperately that's y they fight constantly......

U shld go to CF where they really sell good quality clownfish pairs.....
