How to choose CRAB?

Any bro know how to buy / choose crabs ?

planning to buy / choose myself for cooking & comsumption.

hmmm...Gee....

so long its not dead one lah.. buy crab must buy alive one..

if you choose the bottom round round one hor...means that it is female one lah (got roe lor) .. choose those w/o missing legs..preferably all still intact one

lastly if you scared to kill the crab.. place it in the freezer while its alive..for afew hours..

the crabby will be in deep sleep (hibernating) while its frozen..then u do the killing ..!!

1. lift up the crab.... must be heavy and active (according to yr weighing ratio)

2. male or female (round or triangle) doesnt matter, press beside the round/triangle,ifs its hard... den its full of meat... if its soft, u can forget about cooking the crab.

yes.. but if you are totally afraid of killing a crab while it is still moving and kicking..then the next best choice is to kill it using above mentioned method..

while some others simply throw them inside a pot of boiling water.. it varies.. heehee

that is how i cook yabbies too.. those small freshwater lobsters.. a bit sadistic though..

The more humane way is to put them inside the fridge first wait, for a 1 or 2 hours then bring them out to cook.
