Hey guyes...

Please share with me how u managed to catch some EVIL and unwanted fishes out of the Lanky Rockscape and in the tank at such a fast zooMing speed.

My yellow velet damsel is A biggest bully of my 3 residence tangs.. My salfin tang have been with me for 7months so far and the damsel is like ard 4mths only and yet wacking it aroud..yet its size is way lots of huge difference..my damsel is so small, and tang is so big..

today i found a torn fin in the upper and lower part of my salfin  My yellow tang also bigger than it is also being bullied..

Its my greteast regret to put the damsel in. I did not put it in on purpose, the damsel jump into the tank from the pail.:evil::evil:

Decisions have been made..

I am taking that out no matter what..

Any ideas on traps or tricks, ways to wean it out will be greatly apperciated..

Thanks

[frustrated]

Best way to catch a damsel is to get a coke PET bottle, cut into 2 near to the cap area(around 5-6cm from mouth). Put some food inside, invert the top part and and push it tightly, sink it into the tank. The damsel should swim in for the food but cant come out, due to wider cone shape inwards.

Tried and tested. :whistle

You got to observe the trap for a while.. Once the damsel is in, IMMEDIATELY get the trap out of the tank. Most fish are quite dumb enough (i.e. chromis), not to be able to escape through the opening. I don't know about damsels though. They may be smart enough to escape.

Hope you catch the rascal!

If u afraid the damsel swim out after getting in, thry to push the cap part downwards towards the side of the bottle. Think it wont be able to swim out after tat.

You got to choose a bottle, with an opening that isn't too big or too small for the fish you are planning to trap.

The zebra damsel which I caught with this bottle (Ice mountain mineral water bottle, I think) did not seem 'smart enough' to be able to swim out.

But of course.. Once you see the fish in the bottle, IMMEDIATELY retrieve the bottle out of the tank. Do not give the fish time to figure the trap out. :pinch:

Icee...but now ,the bottle is already in the tank with bait..

BAit is Petlets (Ocean formular ) + some mysis shrimp...

THE Damsel didnt get attracted to it ..

the first few days , it keep peaking on the outside..but didnt went it at all..

now for 5days, the doof already change colour.

nvr touch at all. :angry::angry::angry::angry:
