anemone spliting ?

i recently got dis anemone frm a fellow reefer.

it was in my tank for not more den 1 mth n it juz splitted dis morn.

any1 got such experence ?

it seemed pretty stressed 2 days ago ...

how often do they split n y do they split ?

wad if i have many small anemone moving ard my tank

I'm new to this forum but from what i have read, anemone will split when under stress and/or when reproducing. i bought a BTA a year ago and they have since split to three but they all stay close to each other.

anemones when stress would split. this includes stress from handling and transport and feeding.

Coincidentally, I also have this anemone in its infancy (splitted months ago and was given to me).

I searched Wetwebmedia in attempt to identify my anemone, and found these links to be quite useful:

Mine seems to be an aiptasia. I suppose so because aiptasias propagate much faster than anemones, so much that people consider them as pests. Yours, I'm not that sure. A better picture would be good.

yes glass anemones can be considered a pest but if u dig further u can make these aiptasia worth their keep. They can i believe filter ur aquarium too.
