Hi Bum, how are u.

What else besides corals do they feed on? Liquid food???

See a fair bit of them when diving off the coast of P. Malaysia.

Just planning to keep, if possible, in a tank with bare rocks and my trigger.

Maybe will try to get a thorn when I dive the next time. And let it regenerate on its own.

Maybe should get some fire coral and a blue ring octo too.

Trying to start a 'Stuff Your Momma Never Told U Not To Keep' nano....:evil::evil:

hey dude,

managed to fix up the lights yet?

i see you like to live dangerously... :D

why don't you get married?

live lifeon the edge everyday :D

Lights not fixed yet.

Haven't sourced all the parts yet, i.e. housing and reflectors mainly,.....taking my time with this DIY projects.

Get married?

Think I'm too young for that road still.

Can't even afford a 3ft tank...how to afford a wife?!

Unless I marry her and con her into supporting my hobby :yeah:

I just want to know if anyone out there keeps stuff like that and just want to learn the perils that accompany it.

as far as i know,

crown of thorns feed voraciosly on corals...

dun think they can survive on liquid food for long.

never heard anyone sell or keep it.

fire corals....i saw at some LFS,

the owner told me its a fire coral,

reddish orange but i doubt it cos i saw him handling it.

blue ring...

uh, i think someone here keeps it.

might be difficult to find in local LFS though...

also, its a great escape artist, and feeds on inverts and fish

your filtration has to be good too cos if it inks in a small

poorly filtered tank, it'll kill everything incluing itself.

BUT!!!! most important

unlike the lionfish, lyretail blenny,rabbitfish....

which cause pain.....

this one kills :(

but if you do manage to find one,

i'd like to view it ;)
