hihi,

Actually clown fish are quite hardy fishes. So my advise is, go for the type that u like!! Be it true pecula or false pecula..

Also, dun buy then singlely, at least buy them in pairs or more.. nicer to see them swimming together.... lastly, buy a compatible anemone if ur tank can afford the space. Very cute to see then squeezing into a anemone at night to "sleep". Got the chance, try it and u will love it! ;)

From the web:

True Percula Clownfish:

- Amphiprion Percula

- has 10 (rarely 9) dorsal spines

- often has black edged borders of varied widths around its white bars

- usually has a lower height dorsal fin

- very bright orange

- up to 3"

- semi-aggressive

- not as hardy as the Ocellaris Clownfish

False Percula Clownfish:

- Amphiprion Ocellaris

- has 11 (rarely 10) dorsal spines

- never has the black edged borders around its white bars

- usually has a higher height dorsal fin

- not as bright orange

- up to 4"

- peaceful

- hardier?

Haha.. Most people think False Percula are very easy to tell from True percula..

However! They have never been to Iw*rna to see their display tank, their false percula's colors are as intense and nice as the true perculas! The only way you could tell was by the amount of blackness the clownfish had on it's body...
