i bought new shells from the flea market in chinatown... threw them in and my zebra hermits all swapped shells... after that never bought any new shells liao still ok... (that was like >1yr ago)

not sure also... but looks more decorative.. I think they added a layer of varnish on the shells even...

Pasir Ris beach got alot of nice shells

I once picked abt 10, not as nice as those selling in LFS of cos, but comparable..

the ones they selling are decorated

Joke only ah. I used to pick shells for my blue leg hermit

there too. IMO, dun need buy cos beach prvides free.

(unless staying far from beach lah)
