I don't understand why CA Reactor gotta be so huge in order to support bigger tanks....

Can't we just get away with a small reactor since the outlet only drips at a small rate?

So my thought is that size doesn't matter.

Well, if you are running a full fledged SPS reef, you will probably need to replenish the media after a few months compared to about more than a year for units with 10kg of media.

There are other factors which I think reefers like Joe can explain to you ;)
