hi bros and sis,

I am thinking of getting the aquamedic nitrate reductor to bring down

the nitrate level in my tank. currently, i've already taken out all

bio-balls and coral-chips in the sump, but my nitrate is still hovering

in the range of 10-20, most likely due to my feeding (twice a day), but i

like to feed the fishes. :D

anyway, like to know from fellow reefers on comments on this product.

cheers

:thanks:

not so much as the price .. but the effectiviness of the item.

eg how many ppm of nitrate can be reduce before/after installation <_<

if i'm not wrong, it is using the DSB principle .. ie creating a place of

low oxygen ... and thus with the bateria inside, convert nitrate to nitrogen.

but as we know, the DSB we had in the sump is "almost" useless as the

surface area is too small ... thus taking the item, is it a fair comparison to

say that the eg 1000 model is equal to ###### meter square of DSB <<< EXAMPLE

cheers

Wah bro, I never compare like that, too cheam :P ......cos for me a DSB is out of the question as I do not have a sump and also I don't like too much sand in my main tank.......

I've heard reviews and also ask fellow bros about Aqua-Medic Nitrate reductor and so far the reviews have been good ;) .......
