i just fix up my weipro 2014 with rio 20hf ... the buble r small n plenty of it...

the problem is -- the 20hf r rated at 5470 l/h pump n i had to turn the knob almost shut just like when i couple it with a 3000 l/h pump...

is that normal?? pls help i worried the pump will be spoilt if the condition is not good for the pump ...

i just installed 2hour ago so i cannot commend bout the skimmate...

2. is rio pump worth the money bcos the performance r not that impresive...

3. can some 1 post pic of 2014 result with pump n skimmate??

very overkill.. no point turning the knob to almost close and using such high wattage pump.. i used to have extrema with 2013 and works wonder with low wattage..

At 5470 l/h, the pump outlet is at least 1 inch plus. The inlet connector of the 2014 is around 1/2 inch...

1. How did you fit it?

2. How far is your pump away from the skimmer?

3. Did you check your pump's impeller shaft for cracked magnet?

In normal situation, a 5470 rated pump will overflow your collection cup even if your valve is full open. A 1200 l/h pump can skim chocolate muse out of a 2013. Think your problem is more like a construction problem den a technical problem.

You might wanna post a pic of your current setup for eazier reference.
