I usu get my acryllic stuff from Dama. Frdly service even tho I sometimes spend less than $10 there. http://www.dama.com.sg/Home.html

Main Tank : 48 inch by 36 inch by 28 inch (2 sides starphire glass)

by the way, 2 questions..

(1) do they custom cut / made acrylic sheet into certain shape for us?

(2) can give me some indication of prices? i have no idea of how acrylic cost..

Haha, I'm going to Dama tomorrow to buy some acrylic sheet too. I'm awared that they cut to size for you but not so sure if they can drill hole too as I required it.

Understand they have 2 types Cast and Extruded. Standard ex-stock size ;

Cast - 1000mm x 1830mm

Extruded - 1000mm x 4000mm

Think in terms of per sq ft, extruded is cheaper - right?

Will find out more tomorrow when I'm there. ;)

If you are going tomorrow, can you find out the cost for me?

basically i am looking for either one of the material

(1) Acrylic ( PMMA ) sheets

(2) PP ( Polypropylene ) board

Requirement:

1 sheet - dimension is 18 x 24 inches 5mm thick (glossy or matt finish) color: Black

Hope i am not asking too much from you...

Went to Jalan Bersek to custom made my 2ft T5 Light box. Provided drawings for it. They will cut and mould/stick together, quoted me about S$45 for the whole application.

So my damages will be

120SGD for 2ft T5 tube, endcap and ballast

45SGD for custom acrylic light box

total 165SGD.

Still cheaper than similar off the shelf T5 by some 40 - 60 SGD. But main reason is that only DIY can fit my hood.

Equipment:

30G Corner Tank with 10G Sump, 2 x 24W artinic T5, 1 x 24W 10K, 1x 24W 20K, 3" Grade 0 sand & Live rocks, Activated Carbon, Bio-home, 2 x Seio M620, Hailea 1/2HP Chiller, Redsea Pro Skimmer

Live Stock:

Turbo Snail x 1, Green Mandarin Dragonet X 2, Blue Tang X 2, True percular x 2, 1 x Algae Bleenie, Clarke clown x 2

Reef:

1 x 2" Blue maxima, Red/Brown/Purple Mushroom (Discosoma), Pink Ricordea yuma, A little colony Brown/Green common Zoanthus, Red/Pink/Green US Zoanthus, Eagle-eye Zoathus, 14 Branch Goniopora Pandoraensis, 1 Starburst Polyps, 3 + 2 Branch Frogspawn, 4 Blasto, palythoa, Cheato

RIPs (Since June 2005):

1. Sabae clown (KO by Clarke clown) 2. 1 branch melted frogspawn 4 branch 3. Golden maxima (Ripe the base off rock by me) 4. Algae Bleenie x 2 (Starvation) 5. Blue Maxima x 1, 2 x Maxima, 1 x frogspawn, rics (Overtemp...)

My light box is overall 2mm and main pillar 3mm.

Aiya namecard at home but now I in China.

But it is really near to Reborn. At Foch Road, only one shop deals with plastic and acrylic signage etc. Next to eminent plaza. But service cannot be too urgent, as they sometimes quite busy, my box need a week. If not busy 1-2 days.

If you want thin ones, the type people use for art work, they are available in Bras Besah Complex too. But those are pretty thin, used for framing photographs.

are there any coloured acrylic sheets too? do they cut for you?

looking for some to do some of my diy products at home :)

Just came back from DAMA...

some indication of price and size that I bought today...

Acrylic Sheet : 180mm x 685mm x 5mm = S$7.00

Acrylic Sheet : 400mm x 685mm x 5mm = S$15.00

Acrylic Sheet : 205mm x 400mm x 5mm = S$5.00

5% discount for cash and carry
