what microalgae to keep?

Hi CoolWater...

As usual, get cheato lor from the reefers here who sell them every now and then but if you really want to buy from LFS... think Henry from ML is growing some for sales soon, maybe in abt a few more weeks time. The other kind is to can get caulerpa(if spell correct), either the grape type or the fern type, there are a few kind of this algae. I've got some grape-like in my refugium, pick them up from one of our local beach.

I saw those very fine long and green type in LFS, that can be use? Sorry ah, don't really know the name. :paiseh:

Its macro, not micro anyway.

Cheato is the best choice. Caulerpa is another good alternative, but you have to prune them regularly.

Iron should help speeding up their growth, but best let them grow on their own. Esepcially if you keeping Caulerpa.

Unless you harvesting them fast for some specific reason.
