lightningstrike
hi, was running a remora long time back. not sure if i can help, 1. is aquabee 2000/1 the right pump to use? especially 2000/1 is the high head version. recommended pump to use for remora pro is rio1400 or mag3. 2. play ard with the height of the collection cup by adjusting the o ring. 3. check ur spray injector, make sure it is not choked up. SRC Member neokn Posted August 16, 2005 Author SRC Member Share Posted August 16, 2005 LS, Thanks for the tips. Reason for running AquaBee 2000/1 is to overdrive the skimmer. Spray injector checked. Abt the height of the collection cup, shoud there be water over the base of the collection cup tube or just inline?

SRC Member weisoon Posted August 16, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted August 16, 2005 Too high flow in the system due to design not being able to discharge the water fast enough will cause the water level in the riser to move up and down. There is always a max flow in the feeding rate for a skimmer especially venturi or needlewheel, whereas beckett is slightly different. Question: Accroding to Internet search. Mag 5 pump with 500gph can be use on a Remora Pro. Translate 500gph to Liter will be 1,892Lph, can I assume that my AquaBee 2000/1 is suitable for the skimmer? SRC Member weisoon Posted August 16, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted August 16, 2005 Is it Mag5 or Mag3?? I do not own an AquaC and so not sure what is the original pump that comes with the skimmer. Maybe you can check the manufacturer's website.

The original pump that comes with Remora Pro is either a Rio 1400 or a Mag 3. But some guyz overdrive with Mag 5 on an Urchin. Will drop AquaC an email to check then.
