Third one looks like a damicornis to me :lol:

hi reef guru,

i'm no expert or anything, and there are like 150 species of acropora alone, but some names came to my mind as i read your post so think ill list down what i think your coral could be and hopefully that helps you narrow down the speciation abit ya.

1 is possibly an acropora humilis.

2 is either an acropora haimei, , tenuis or valida. these are the common ones with longer corallites.

3 this one was funny. i kinda agree with bro blueheaven that it looks kinda like pocillopora damicornis, but its also possible, like bro rav said that its a montipora digitata. so to add to their suspicions, i also think it might be a brown coloured stylophora pistillata. haha. sorry but think we are not helping much huh?

its difficult identifying sps man!

try this cool site for some added info- its got a cool reef crest picture with lots of acropora corals with names i never knew existed- run your mouse over each coral and click for more info.

cheers, hope that helps in some way. perhaps we could all coordinate and come up with a quick sps identification guide with pictures, etc?

YUP! you are right, a really big one.

Planning to get rind of it real soon.

Dat's a monster aitapsia!!! :shock::shock::shock:

If its "leg" is in a crevice, suggest you use a little epoxy and seal the crevice up, this guy is damn hardy!!! And I'm not sure if peppermint shrimps would eat such a huge one! :sick:

Dont worry, I normally kill AIP. by stinging it with my Elegant Colral.

It works! trust me.
