Eletrical blue leg hermit attacking my snails !!

My eletrical blue leg has been attacking my snails ! why ? how shall i prevent this ? een tho' i'v placed some empty shells for him to be his new home .. but he didnt choose them and instead keep attacking those newly bought fresh yummy snails !!

do u guys come across this ?

possible the snail dying/dead and the hermit just cleaning it up and doing his job

nope , i saw the crab digging the flesh , even tho the snail is still alive..

well my electric blue doesnt attack snails all. Unfortunately my other big hermits do.... They r now in the sump

My electric blue hermit will attack a snail if it finds a shell that it likes, once than it will not attack anymore snails till it needs a bigger home

it happens. they're homicidial maniacs. mine usually attack snails when they're overturned or on the sand bed where its easy for it to overturn the snail.

the bugger even killed the other 2 electirc blues hermits i had. but, i suppose it got whacked by my fat hawkfish in the end. =p

it is normal. i bought 2 shells for them n they ended switching for hrs. and not doing algae job. hmm.
