SRC Member hoppinghippos Posted September 14, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted September 14, 2003 Hi, 2500L flowrate is fine. and won't the skimmer have the label infront that says weipro? don't understand your qn on needing to check with pics. unless you scared kena conned with pirated goods, in which case isn't it easier if you post a pic of your skimmer and everyone can advise you? and its meant to be hang on but you can place it in the sump provided you elevate it such that the "clip" where the skimmer is meant to hang onto the sump wall is agar-agar at the level of the tank wall. this is cuz the water level in the skimmer must be high above the water level in the sump for it to work properly. SRC Member hoppinghippos Posted September 14, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted September 14, 2003 errmm why don't you use PVC pipes and eggrate to make a "stand" for the skimmer to sit on? OR I suggest simply hanging the skimmer by hooking onto the tank wall BUT with the skimmer IN the tank instead of outside, so solves all your problems? hghflyer
Some members here have been using Wiepro 3000 together with 2012 and the review was good. I think Dymax should be around the same quality as Weipro one.

SRC Member hoppinghippos Posted September 15, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted September 15, 2003 First turn the valve to ON, the valve is simply a ball valve to control the water flow out, second switch on the pump, third, observe the water level in the skimmer, slowly close the valve by turning it, observe the water level rising, play around by SLOWLY opening and closing the valve. lastly, adjust such that the water level is may 2-3cm below the collection cup level.
