Blue Legged Hermit crab

I introduced a fireshrimp and blue legged hermit into my tank a coupleof days ago and the fire shrimp has dissapeared?

The other two cleaner shrimps are fine but there is no sign of the fireshrimp? He was a bit smaller than the others and I know I have a large emerald crab hidded in on of my rocks.

Would somebody have eaten him?

well the fireshrimp has definitely dissapeared and in my nano thats pretty tough unless your in somebodys stomach!

Anyone had problems before with blue legged hermit crabs?

Hi Bro,

I have quite a lot of hermits - blue-legged, harlequin and dwarf living together with my 2 cleaner shrimps and 2 blood shrimps.

I don't have any problems with hermits attacking or eating my shrimps.

Your blood shrimp could have died and the body probably eaten by the hermits...

it is looking to invade into a bigger shell.

throw in some appropriate bigger shells

Shld not have any prob.. i hav 3 electri blue hermit... but all livin happily wif my snails n shrimps. mayb u nv feed the hermit enuf or they need a new she ll
