Can someone what will be the charges incurred when running a 250W gadget such as MX 100 for a month?

U better clarify with Sp. regs the bills. At 1st i thought u stay in a bungalow when u say yr pub bill is $500.

I also stay in a 5 rm flat. Our average bill is $130 - $180/mth.

I hve 2 PCs @ home,fax machine,photocopier,heater,boiler,washing machine,fridge....etc.

PCS on while @ wk (we wk fm hme)

fax on 8 - 5pm only.

washing machine use 3/4 times per wk .

There was once my utilities bill went up to $541. My eletricity charges amount to $350. I got so shock that i email to SIngapore Power and request them to do a check. They did a check and inform me that nothing was wrong with their reading and thus i need to pay $541.

I got so annoyed..and worried..as i just got a 5 room flat. Just a normal MH (150), daeil 1/3 hp chiller and also those normal return pump for my 3ft*3ft*3ft tank.

I got so worried,... however after months....i discovered that the main reason for my humogous bill was due to my inlaw. They stay with me as their condo was under renovation.

After they left that bill shrink to monthly 150/mth.

*i found out that due to the high usage of aircon be in Condo or HDB, the rate still the same.

*Check for faulty applicances..e.g. a Faulty fridge, the common culprit of the problem

Also, do not leave any electrical appliances like tv or washing machine on stdby mode. Switch off all appliance plug when not in use. My dad Uncle monthly bill exceed $200++ coz he did not bother to switch off the main plug. The tv, fan, cookerhood and washing machine just leave like that after use. He compared his bill to my household ($170 +-) and was shocked. I have 2 planted tank, 1 with chiller and 2 additional fish tank, all running 24hr.
