SRC Member iantoh Posted August 7, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted August 7, 2005 hi beaver, you can try attaching the bag with your coral in it to the side of your tank with a clothes peg or something, then drip tank water slowly into the bag till the water volume in the bag doubles. then, pour out half of this water and throw away, then repeat. perhaps do this three times for more delicate corals over the course of an hour or two? it really depends too on the water quality of the packaged coral and your tank. you can check the salinity and ph for both and see how different they are. if they are similar, then you can shorten the drip procedure slightly. if they are distinctly different, then perhaps lengthen the procedure. also try to place an air stone in the bag whilst your doing this to prevent low oxygen yield and the coral being stressed from this. cheers, ian Quote My Goniopora Nano!
