Operation BBBB - Back Breaking Bare Bottom

Finish - 6pm

Intend to pre mix 80L salt on Saturday in preparation for Sunday's Ops.

Things I need :

1) a blue tub - need to borrow, anyone have ? Will return after "operation"

2) volunteer - at least 1 -2 reefers, i dun think i can do it alone

Freebies :

1) Lunch n dinner provided with free flow soft drinks and "beer"

2) Free frags will be given

Without the above i dun think it will be operational

Bro, 80L not enough meh. This is wat i intend to do :

1) pre mix 80L salt on Sat

2) take out all colonies put in tub, drain tank water to tub (depend on how big the tub is, maybe can hold 200L

3) balance tank water drain to 1 holding container (capacity - 180L)

4) take out all rocks , put in tub

5) remove all sand

6) add in FW, den siphon all balance sand, clean up tank

7) add in pre mixed SW

8) arrange rock scape

9) add extisting tank water in tank

10) arrange all colonies into tank

11) frags giving time

12) few cans of beer, go to bed, next morning go massage

Forgot you going to drain out your old tank water so that makes total of 200L which should be sufficient. I didn't drain out my old tank water when I went thru it so just prepare salt water with RO/DI water as I go alone. Luckily got booster pump else sure got to wait till I fainted.

For point 6, suggest you add in salt water else you might kill those bacterial.

Prepare to handle those yucky worms I got so many of them in my tank, yeee

No lar, take tub must use MPV lar, I use my colleage car another DHC ticket

Another way is to use a lot of those red pails or coralife tube. One pail abt 20litres Then you save the DHC ticket liao.

I oso planning a rescape. Why dun you consider getting those styrofoam shipment boxes? I already "cham siong" with lfs owner in west coast. He more than happy to give, else he throw away oso.....but then your house will look like a lfs shipment.

bro...bare base means bare bottom..jus the piece of glass...unless intended to use starboard..tt is y the base needs to be thicker in order to withstand any accident..the scaping of LRs muz be fitted not onli nicely but tightly....to prevent the rocks from falling...
