SRC Member huanjie Posted August 5, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted August 5, 2005 I just mixed a bucket of salt water with corallife salt and realise the pH is only 7.89 the water had been heavily aerated for a while and still remain low pH. salinity is 1.024. (tried range from 25 to 21 still low pH) I thought Corallife suppose to give high pH... thank you in advance

SRC Member ozy Posted August 5, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted August 5, 2005 Just like to ask if your salt is still good? I used to leave my unused salt exposed to air and sometimes they clump up, don't dissolve well and the quality becomes bad. Have been using different salts on and off, found that CoralLife salt has improved quite a bit, in terms of solubility

SRC Member ozy Posted August 5, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted August 5, 2005 No I mean if the salt is left in the open for too long, the quality drops.

I didn't measure the pH though
