i plan to start a 4ft tank

hi..i am new to marine..i plan to have a 4ft marine tank..what other items must i buy?can any1 tell me?and how do i go along getting the tank prepared and so on...ty lots for any1 who helps:)

if you are really unsure about what to buy or require,its best that you get a tank maker who can take care of all your needs.

just my humble and not so experienced opinion.

Plan out your budget first. Get a reliable tank maker. Plan where to put the tank also. Know what you are buying don't just buy what they tell you to buy. Remember that there are alot of bloodsucker out there so choose wisely.

Yes, as those brothers advised. You can get the 1st draft from the LFS\supplier, but don't commit into their proposal yet.

Post up the proposal here, to get more feedback. Only then make your own call.

Look for an experienced tank maker. This is very impt.

Check out the reefers tank threads to view how their system is set up, might give you some insights or inspiration.
