SRC Member seamonkee Posted September 13, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted September 13, 2003 I need to ask u guys... do people actually "glue" corals onto LRs esp the sides... I notice many reefers have tons of corals in their tanks and I always wondered how they put them all in... The only free spaces I can possibly think of are to stack it on top of the LRs, do u actually make use of the sides of the LRs and how do u actually "stick" frags of coral on the sides? Please advise... Thanks
SRC Member pospeh Posted September 13, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted September 13, 2003 For a big piece of rock, you need an underwater epoxy. They harden in water in about 15-30 minutes. Wessbond and Alteco are two of the brands.
SRC Member riot Posted September 13, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted September 13, 2003 Hi! I find a crack and then jam the coral in. Especially if it is a LPS - if neccessary I grind a bit to make it a hard jam..... Finger leathers same thing- they are stuck to a small piece of LR that I try to wedge in. Looks quite cool. Cheers riot
