Good To Use Wrought Iron Stand?

Is there any way to prevent wrought iron stands from rusting? What is the 'lifespan' of such stands? for clearing my doubts.

Definitely not recommended.. mine is 20% rusted, used it for about 1 year.

But if u want to make it more lasting, prime it and coat with epoxy..

My Q tank is on one....seriously worried about it collapsing.....they DO rust!

I have tried cleaning ......dun seem to work.....not sure how long the anti rust will hold....somehow...rust is like cockroaches...they get in no matter wat U do

There are 2 grades:

304 & 316.

Avoid 304 lower grade,will rust in a matter of time but definitely better than wrought iron.

In the other hand 316 much more ex.have not heard of it rust before.

How do we differentiate btw 304 and 316? Any idea where we can find these stands?

I don't think you can tell the difference physically.If you're looking for of the shelve stand.most of them are only 304.

Need to custom made if 316.

Erm nope ..

i forgot what it was needed..

But it was some kind of special of chemical u need to buy 1st to coat the SS before welding and even the welding rod is a kind of special material that wont rust...

The u need the welding machine to weld it and the skill ..

So itis done by my mom workers during off day on sunday at my mom worksites..

The price tag arent cheap but u can be sure it would be 316 ...

There is 304 , 305 and 316 ..

another better way then having a iron stand that is not coated hehe..
