Anyway, converted to sump yesterday. There is a flaw in the chamber design.... anyway too late to fix it.

Cool sump setup ! ... your beckett has this durso pipe like setup.. is that use for minimising micro bubble produced by the beckett?... does it work well?

Pretty sure it doesn't minimised the micro bubbles. I'm relying on the filters marked green to eliminate micro bubles.

Also thinking of extending the skimmer return pipe all the way so I can remove the ugly looking cloth marked red from the sump. I'm using it to prevent splashing.

Anyone out there can advice how to tune the beckett skimmer? I've been running it since last night but still no tick form when i check it this morning. What's wrong??

Thanks for your reply.. so i guess the pipe is merely for moving the outflow of the skimmer to another compartment.

As for your skimmer, your air intake seems little.. did you open the air value?

I'm using RIO HF20 to drive the skimmer and the air intake valve is somewhere in the middle.
