ok.. if i am not wrong .. it is something like that..

on 24 hrs, for 31 days..

50w x 24 x 31 = 37200w

from PUB, i think is 18.26cents for kWh

there we will have 37200/1000 x 18.26c = 679.272cents

which is equals to $6.79

therefore to run a 50w pump no stop for 24 aday, 31days a month is roughly $6.80..

May I know how much power can I load us a standard HDB 13A power plug to prevent any trip. In another word, what shall be the total loading of the fish appliance (like fan, pumps, light) can be plug into one 13A power socket.

hehe again if i am not wrong.. i may be wrong :P

i think power and amphere is two different thing ... for every equpiment.. there will be a drawing amphere...for example : say ur return pump is drawing 5A, ur skimmer pump is 3A, your PL light is 4A.

in order not to trip or over kill the 13A load.. u just have to add together ur equipment drawning As.... if total not over 13A .. will not trip .. if over will trip...

btw.. i also think there is a higher drawing amphere when the motor of ur pump starts. there when u add.. take the starting drawing amphere of ur pump's motor instead of the normal working drawning amphere..

hmmm .... hope it helps ...

cheers :D

lester : amp and volt are diff but closely related

news: 13A on 220V can supply 13x220 = 2860W of power

that's a super high value...my system if everything kicks in is about 1450W and the socket u can feel is warm

anything above i can't comment...u should ask those hardcore MH users...like 4x400W lightings.

they can advice u on safety precautions
