Calcium Media

Hi Reefers,

Just wondering have anyone use Tunze Ca media and compare to ARM, which 0ne is better?

Currently I m using Tunze Ca but my Ca dropping slowly from 400 to 320.

What should I do?

What are the levels of CA/KH in the CR effluent? Flow rate of effluent? BPM of CO2? How much media do you have in the CR? Age of Media?

Answer all these and maybe the guys here can help you better.

Let me check the effluent tonite(it slow flow like almost dripping), but for the Co2 1 second per bubble.

The media is about 3/4 of the chamber and 3/4 in secondary chamber and about 2 weeks.

Ph last check is also dropping from 8.5 to 8.1.

I spent $ 120 for the carton, dont think need to change if not necessary.

Any fine tuning I need to do?

I think u need to check ur magnesium, 2 low mag will deter the calcium from increasing.

Thanks Bro, will try to get magnesium test kit, dont have one now.

However, just got Sera Ca test kit, it read 460 but my new salifert show

only 320 but old salifert almost 400( finish tolast drop).

Is there any defect case on salifert test kit?

Should I use epsom salt to increase and how is the dorsing?
