Does camera battery level affect focusing?

Hi guys, I just noticed that when my camera battery is low, I cannot focus on the macros as well as before. So does the battery level affect the focusing ability of the camera? I am talking about AF here

hmmm i think it affect the flash brightness ....

possible but not sure if that's really the reason..

coz AF (autofocus) needs battery power to run the motor, so if battery low it might have a harder time running the motor...

yea i second that, if my digi cam's batt is left with less than a quarter, the focusing really sucks. dont know abt macro though because my cam can't take macro shots.. i'm talking like 2m to 5m away kind of focusing..
