ha ha almost cannot find my thread liao. Have released the blue face and is roaming freely in the tank after almost 3 months in the betta box(poor thing). And so far so good, have not spotted him nibbing on any of my LPS. As for the regal he is now housed in a friends tank waiting for new owner ;) Will try to take some pixs of him tonight.

In the mean time just some updates of my leak II just before CNY ;)

This time the leak came from my new Skimz FR. Not its fault, just that I didn't tighten it enough. <_<

Had already spend almost a K to changed the flooring and now :pinch: .was lucky I spotted the leak early if not sure must change flooring again.

Here are some pixs showing the rescue mission. Had to remove the strips between the joins to dry the flooring beneth the laminet and lots of tissue.....

My lesson to all, hope those who are in the mist of setting up your new tank think about how to waterproof your flooring or make the cabinet leak proof. Don't think spending on the most expensive equipment will help prevent such incidents. :(

The very next morning went to make a arcylic base with 3.5" walls to hold the out sump equipments. Just incase if there's a leak in the future, it can hold the leak ;)

Hi,

Sorry to hear about your ,ishap bro.

i had experienced 2-4 major mishap from my old 4x2x2 The worst is when one of my return pipe connection became loose and wah lah my whole timber strip flooring is all wet collected 2 pail of salt water. The other is when one of the sanil went in my overflow and resulting in increasing water level in the main tank over night and of cos overflowing onto the floor for at least 3-4hrs.

when it is time to get another tank and put it to another position due to rust on the iron coated stand, i decided to get a get someone to do a base (tried to get stainless steel but in the end got aluminium and silicon all coner due to time constrain) about 2-4 cm high placed it under my sump tank and all other equipment so that i can reduce the damage to the minimum. True enough it did save me from another mishap.

Busy <_< as usual. Well nothing much done just some lost the LS after the King died, sold the queen (Sailfin). The purple and yellow tangs started to fight for rank and resulted in 2 deaths of my yellow tang <_< and the killer, the smallest of all, the purple tang <_< .

Have sold my Regal angel and now the blue face is swimming without fear freely :D
