SRC Member Melvyn Tan Posted November 25, 2005 Author SRC Member Share Posted November 25, 2005 Agree in order of the big angels, french, queen and annularis, for the flame and golden - harder to bully the big angels (unless they are all juv you are considering). SRC Member Travy Posted December 1, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted December 1, 2005 So many angels in a 3 feet ah... Kinda cramp leh. Consider upgrading to a bigger system la. A few of yur angels grows big, esp queen angel, french angel, blue face angel, koran angel and the six bar angel. These species can become magnificent specimens in large sizes... but They need alot of space to grow. So be a chum... make them happy. Asfur
wow, it will be so crowed in 3 ft tank with so many angel in there, my 6 ft is house only 5 angel, which is : regal, asfur, french, majestic and blueface. I think if bro coolguy want to growth the angels to adult size in heatlhy condition, you must move to more than 6 ft.

SRC Member SoTongBall Posted December 2, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted December 2, 2005 Think u r using Via Aqua multi skimmer with built in UV, not very efficient imho.... Strongly urge u to upgrade for better wan. Bro, I'm worried your water already started to foul &.... Pls, stop introducing new fishes for the time being and check the water. U need to test and monitor ur PH, amonia & nitrite asap. With such high bio load & mediocre skimmer, I rather sure u are able to detect traces of amonia & nitrite building up which is very toxic for the fishes. If no corrective action taken, u can say bye bye to those beautiful angels, soon.... Quickly go & get urself the test kits 2day, shoo shoo..... SRC Member Travy Posted December 2, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted December 2, 2005 I can imagine u have a 6 x 3 x 3 Tank housing all those angels.... WOAH!>>>>> Can start to charge admission fees lo.... Bro, I agree with sotong ball. In vest in a really good skimmer. Some angels are known to be sensitive to water conditions. In yur case... Over skimming for a 3 feet is a MUST lo... P/s: I love angels... Quote My Tank Save A Horse, Ride A Cowboy

For smaller tank, needlewheel will be good coz smaller footprint & can hide inside sump. I would recommend H&S 110 or Deltec AP600, u will nvr regret. Should be around $600. Someone is doing a review on the new Tunze 9010, rather impressive, u can consider this cheaper option. Melvyn got 2 H&S skimmers, u may check with this H&S man on the product

SRC Member SoTongBall Posted December 3, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted December 3, 2005 bro, if u r not really familar with the equipment is ok, take ur time to do research. Wat is more important for you now is to comprehend the nitrogen cycle, testing water parameters. Frequent water change is a must for u to maintain water quality in such heavy loaded tank. Min requirement, no trace of ammonia & nitrite. My tank also over loaded with fishes, 32 r angels out of abt 60 fishes in my 6ft tank. I've 2 upgrad my skimmer in order to maintain ideal water condition for my fishes, smaller skimmer (8"X30" beckett) can't cater to my needs, personally experienced it. I'm sure your Via Aqua multi skimmer can't cope as well. Here is my thread on my new RM dual becketts, kinda big, but it can cater to my needs and make my fishes happy.
