Anyone who has a Dory and demonstrates a mad and maddening behaviour? Mine's the King in the tank despite having a Blue-Face, a Sohal, a Purple, a Yellow and an Orange Shoulder !!!

When i add an Annularis yesterday, shit !!! the Blue attacked it and tore its fins till the entire fish looks as if its been brutally raped !!!

Right now hoping it will leave the Annularis alone to recover and eat.

btw, aren't blue tangs supposed to be a more peaceful species??

I think they are supposedly more peaceful than other tangs, but somehow mine went even to the extent of hunting where the Annularis is hiding and use its teeth to try and bite it (my blue tang has teeth and when it eats chomp chomp like a parrot fish)...

It is however a very beautiful deep blue tang...perhaps will do better in a 6 footer....anyone interested in it if i manage to get it out?

Are your blue tang one of the oldest and largest inhibitants? They can get very territorial, especially for a well mature size like yours. Perhaps it has also mistook your angel's almost similar color as a treat to it. let alone, his newly arrival makes matter worst.

I observed they love nori alot, you may want to give it a try with the trap.

After he is gone your sohal or purple will take over the throne.

well if the tang is already 8 inches it means the tank will be too small for it (esp with 5 others). Even if he is heartbroken what to do...

Mine is ard 5"+ now... cant imagine it to grow up to dat size. Its eating like a pig and shiting like an elephant!! Biggest in the tank but did not bully others. However...... I think dis feller abit Siao!! Got weird habits at night layin flat on the sandbed sleeping with a fin up. Sometimes stuck inbetween LR nose down, belly up etc etc in weird position sleeping... Think abit sort plug liao

As the Blue tang is damn greedy feeder so can trry net it out when it is busy eat during feeding time. Works for me

Yeah...they are damn greedy, there was once i nearly caught it when it was bz feeding - it slipped off and when i put in the net, it just scram off. Will try again though...
