hi all, I am a newbie, just started a 2ft tank, initialiy only want a fish only tank, but now after looking all your wonderful tanks with mushrooms and yumi and pratas, I also want to try, question is my tank is very basic, just live rock, live sand, skimmer and a pump. (bought this all 2nd hand). Question, does mushrooms, yumi and pratas need chiller? what is SPS? what requirements does hard corals, anemoes or soft corals needs? example leather coral is hard or soft? Please advise.

hi bro...mainly...the corals that u had mention do not requre a chiller..but a chiller would be best to maintain the water temperature...if not..get a cooling fan, but be sure to top up freshwater in a regular basis..

sps...err...maybe some reefers here can explain wad is the full name...im nt sure myself...

mainly..keeping anemones are not advisable if ur water parameters is not stable yet..be sure that ur water parameters are stable b4 u introduce a anemone..

leather corals belongs to the soft coral family...

i am currently considering to go bare bottom for my tank..n will rescape the whole tank with lots of new LPS add ons...n of cuz...i will change my lights and to add a new chiller during nov...HAHA!!...but currently will still post pics of my tank occasionally...

hi reefers...i have a qns here....im currently using tropic marin pro coral mineral...but whenever i add into the sump compartment...i can still see the powder residue...so wonder if anyone using the dripping method to drip the trace elements??
